Federated Health Charities Logo

Federated Health Charities was founded in 1983 by members of the Ontario Public Service to enable them to raise funds in the workplace similar to the United Way’s annual campaigns. Rooted in the tradition of service to our communities, our annual campaign is held in more than 40 workplaces throughout the Ontario Public Service, the Ontario Provincial Police, and participating provincial agencies. Led by dedicated volunteers who donate their time, skills, and creativity on top of their daily responsibilities as public servants, the Federated Health Charities campaign is one of Canada’s longest and most successful workplace giving campaigns, raising more than $57 million for healthier communities across Ontario.

Opportunity

We are seeking three individuals interested in joining our Board of Directors to provide organizational and staff oversight to Federated Health Charities, guide our organization towards growth and sustainability, and advance our commitments to diversity, inclusion, equity, and access to healthcare by applying anti-racism, anti-oppression, and health equity lenses to the work of the board.

Interested applicants should have experience in the not-for-profit, fundraising, and/or healthcare sectors or possess other relevant skills. Preference will be given to applicants with prior experience working with health charities at a senior level, and/or previous experience at the board level of a not-for-profit or charity.
