Jesse Grewel is a chartered professional accountant with a remarkable career in managing large, complex infrastructure projects both in Ontario and internationally. Currently, Jesse serves as the Director of Capital Assurance and Investigations at Metrolinx, where he leads teams responsible for internal audit advisory, assurance services, and fraud and forensic investigations.
Jesse’s journey with Federated Health began when Metrolinx’s Executive Leader issued a call for volunteers to support the campaign. Although initially unfamiliar with Federated Health, Jesse’s curiosity was piqued, leading him to volunteer.
Through his research, Jesse discovered that Federated Health supports numerous health organizations that hold personal significance for him. Having witnessed family members battle cancer, Jesse understands the gaps in our healthcare system, particularly the lack of comprehensive support, programs, and services for patients and their families during challenging times. Jesse was also pleasantly surprised to learn that Federated Health is one of Canada’s largest workplace charitable campaigns. Being part of such a significant initiative brings him a sense of fulfillment and pride.
Driven by a desire to make a difference, Jesse dedicates his time and resources to these causes. He finds immense value in volunteering with Federated Health – an organization that aids various health charities – viewing it as an opportunity he cannot pass up. For Jesse, it’s about raising awareness and forging personal connections with colleagues who share similar experiences and passions.

Jesse actively promotes the impactful work of Federated Health, emphasizing the importance of donations for these health charities. He reminds people that the funding for these organizations relies heavily on contributions from individuals like us – provincial government employees. At Metrolinx, innovative fundraising campaigns, ranging from food sales to bidding on vacation days, encourage staff to donate through events and payroll contributions.
Personally, Jesse finds payroll donations to be the most convenient method. By filling out a simple online form, he selects the charities he wishes to support, enters the donation amount, and payroll handles the rest, including listing the donation on his T4 slip. This hassle-free process makes it easy for Jesse to contribute without worrying about administrative tasks.
Jesse’s dedication and advocacy exemplify the spirit of volunteerism, making a meaningful impact on the health charities supported by Federated Health. Thank you, Jesse!
