iGaming Ontario: Federated Health’s newest Ontario agency is onboard.

Jul 7, 2025

At Federated Health Charities (FHC), we’re thrilled to welcome our newest provincial agency partner: iGaming Ontario. As a newly independent agency reporting to the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Gaming – iGaming Ontario’s participation with the Federated Health Charities campaign has already made a meaningful impact.

This year marked iGaming Ontario’s first campaign with FHC. Having grown alongside Ontario’s new competitive regulated online gambling market, iGaming Ontario’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Committee saw FHC as a perfect opportunity to engage staff, build community, and give back.

“For me, it was the connection to the Ontario Public Service that really stood out,” said Alisha Slade, Administrative Coordinator and a member of iGaming Ontario’s CSR committee. “FHC brings ministries and agencies together in a way that feels meaningful. And many of the 21 health charities supported by FHC are close to my heart – my best friend went through cancer treatment for three years, so this cause is personal.”

iGaming Ontario’s 2025 campaign focused on encouraging lottery ticket sales and payroll donations, while raising awareness across the organization about FHC and the organizations it supports. The team has already planned a wrap-up event and is encouraging last-minute participation, with plans for next year already in place.

“We’ve learned a lot – about our organization, about timing, and about what works. We’re looking to build on our first-year successes and continue to build awareness of FHC and the impact of these charities” says Paul Jones, Senior Communications Advisor and CSR member.

What’s most inspiring is the perspective iGaming Ontario brings to their Federated Health campaign.

“We know our contribution is part of something much bigger. When you add it to the efforts of the other ministries and agencies across Ontario, it becomes something powerful,” relates Paul. “It’s exciting knowing we’re part of a larger group of people collectively contributing to support 21 health charities. The amount we’ve raised, when combined with the contributions from other ministries and agencies, helps achieve the grand fundraising total of $1.6M – that’s the important part!”

We’re proud to have iGaming Ontario on board and can’t wait to see how their campaign continues to grow over the years. Welcome to the FHC family!
