We have come to the end of the 2021 Federated Health Charities campaign and it was certainly a memorable one! We embarked on our second entirely virtual campaign and we worked to provide opportunities to bring staff together to connect and have fun. Due to the unwavering support and enthusiasm of OPS employees, we were able to pull it off with great success.
To Our Volunteers:
We stress this point every year, but it is because it bears repeating. Aside from two employees, this campaign is entirely volunteer run. All of it. Every single donation that is canvassed for, every event or activity that is run, or the thousands of lottery tickets that are sold, it is all done by volunteers. You are essential to this campaign and we want to thank you for that. Year after year you come back to lend a hand and support this cause. That is always meaningful to us, but it has been especially meaningful these past two years.
A virtual campaign requires a ton of pivoting, problem solving, and development of new solutions and you all worked tirelessly with us to make it all happen. Thank you for your patience, resourcefulness, and determination to find ways to make this campaign happen throughout these challenging times.
As with any challenges in life, there are often silver linings and we have experienced that with this years campaign. We have seen ministries and agencies coming together in ways they previously didn’t, viewing this more as an OPS wide initiative rather than a ministry specific one. Working collaboratively and brainstorming together on how to provide inclusive opportunities for engagement, sharing resources and ideas, and supporting each others initiatives. This is an element of this years campaign we hope to continue with as we move forward, working together, as one OPS, towards a shared goal.
We sincerely thank you for standing with us for this cause. We truly could not have done it without you.
Our Accomplishments:
We were unsure what to expect with this year’s campaign. As we all know, it has been a long year with many of us feeling fatigued, overwhelmed, and burnt out. On top of that, many families have been hit financially over the past year. But we learned from last years strong campaign not to underestimate the power of the OPS’s desire to give back and help their communities. So we entered this campaign cautiously optimistic.
Well, it turns out we didn’t need to be so cautious! Despite a challenging fundraising climate, the OPS showed their commitment and generosity, yet again, by raising even more than they did last year!
The funds are still coming in, but at this point we have already raised $1.49 million dollars!
