We’re thrilled to share how your generous support is helping one of our partner charities, Heart & Stroke, launch a groundbreaking initiative: the Risk Screen—a free, personalized tool designed to help women understand and manage their risk for heart disease and stroke.
This launch couldn’t be timelier. October marks Menopause Month, and with heart disease and stroke being the leading causes of premature death in women in Canada—claiming one life every 16 minutes—this tool is a powerful step toward closing care gaps and advancing women’s health.
What Is the Risk Screen?
Developed with the latest evidence and expert input, the Risk Screen:
- Is free, quick, and easy to complete
- Generates a personalized report based on lifestyle, medical history, sex and gender, and life stages unique to women—such as pregnancy, perimenopause, and menopause
- Is available in English and French
- Empowers women to advocate for themselves in healthcare settings

Goals for the Year Ahead
Heart & Stroke aims to:
- Reach 1 million women to raise awareness of unique risk factors
- Mobilize 130,000+ women with personalized learning journeys
- Gather data to better support at-risk communities, including Black, Indigenous, and South Asian women
How You Can Help Spread the Word
