Over the 2023 campaign, we’ve written a lot about why people should donate to Federated Health Charities:
We’ve talked about the history of our campaign and our enduring partnership with Ontario’s public service. We’ve pulled back the curtain on what it means to be part of a workplace giving campaign, and how donating through your paycheque means lower costs and more money for the charities your support. And we’ve written a lot about the work of our 21 charities and the people they help.
So now we’re flat-out asking you – please make a payroll donation to Federated Health Charities today.
OPS employees and OPP members can donate to Federated Health Charities via WIN until July 9, 2023.
Agency employees can donate to Federated Health Charities by filling out an electronic form (in English or French) and emailing it to your campaign treasurer (if you have questions about how to fill out your payroll pledge form, please email Federated Health Charities).
Payroll pledges are the most efficient way of supporting our charities. Not only is your donation automatically included on your T4 – making it easier to claim your donation as a deduction at tax time – payroll pledges are also more efficient for our charities. The Government of Ontario supports our campaign by processing donor pledges through their payroll services each month.
This lowers the administrative costs of processing donations for each of our charities. This means that more of your donation goes to supporting programs and services. Pledges also mean that our charities know how much money they can expect from our donors each month so they can plan how to use your donation more strategically to make a bigger impact.
Finally, payroll pledges help us leverage the size of the Ontario public service – if every OPS, OPP and agency employee committed to giving $52 through a payroll pledge – that’s just $2 per paycheque! – we would raise more than $3.1 million ($52 x 60,000+) for our 21 charities this year!
So please, donate to Federated Health Charities today.
