On April 1, 2025, the Cabinet Office proudly launched their 2025 Federated Health Charities Campaign with a vibrant kick-off event, highlighting the power of collective effort and their unwavering commitment to make a difference in the lives of those in need.
OPS leadership shared stories of commitment to unifying as an organization to rally around a cause. Attendees heard powerful stories from Federated Health ambassadors affected by some of the health conditions that these charities help, including Chron’s Disease and Cancer.
Speakers, raffles, activities, and prizes brightened the event and helped to boost fundraising efforts, with Cabinet Office raising 49% of its fundraising goal in its first week.
As of week six, Cabinet Office has raised 96% of its fundraising goal.
Looking Ahead with Optimism
This year promises to be even more exciting. The creative spirit and enthusiasm of the planning committee have been truly inspiring. Through the end of May, events are underway to bring Cabinet Office staff together for laughs, great food, and invigorating opportunities to focus on health and healthy practices.
The Importance of Payroll Pledges
One of the key elements of this year’s Cabinet Office campaign is the emphasis on payroll pledges. Anna Boyden, the 2025 Cabinet Office Executive Champion for the campaign issued a personal challenge to all colleagues: “if each person contributes just $2.50 per pay period, we can easily surpass our goal. This small amount, less than the cost of a coffee, can collectively make a significant impact.”
Fostering Community and Solidarity
The campaign is not just about raising funds; it is about fostering a sense of community and solidarity. The kickoff event brought Cabinet Office colleagues together to celebrate a shared commitment to making a difference. As the campaign moves forward, every contribution, no matter how small, makes a significant impact toward achieving and supporting the invaluable work of Federated Health Charities.
A Call to Action
Cabinet Office encourages all provincial employees to embrace this opportunity to make a positive change and inspire others to join in this noble cause. As the Secretary so eloquently put it, “Don’t think of this as just a campaign, think of it as a very personal moment where you help make someone’s life better. We become stronger when we come together to do something for someone else.”
The call is clear: come together, contribute generously, and make this year’s campaign a resounding success in perfect alignment with Federated Health Charities 2025 theme: Individual Giving, Collective Impact.
