Imagine living with a disease that doesn’t take a day off? Where pain, fatigue, and uncertainty follow you everywhere. For the 300,000 Canadians living with Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis, this is daily life. But thanks to donors like you, there is hope.
“As a health charity, we rely on all our donors, as well as our partners, to support everything that we do,” says Kate Lee, Vice President of Research and Patient Programs at Crohn’s and Colitis Canada. “Your generosity makes it possible for us to be there for people when they need us most.”

Through Federated Health Charities, the donor impact and generosity has been extraordinary. “With these funds, we’ve been able to support almost 400 research projects in Canada, dedicating over $150 million toward research,” Kate explains. This research is paving the way for better treatments and, one day, a cure.
But research is only part of the story. “We also use donor dollars to support patients directly. When someone reaches out to us for help, we’re here for them. We develop education programs and work with partners to educate health care providers—all because of the generosity of donors. “Your support ensures that families have resources, patients feel less alone, and health care providers have the knowledge they need to deliver the best care.
Your impact is real. If you’ve given, thank you for making a difference. If you haven’t yet, please consider joining us in the next Federated Health Charities campaign.
