Jennifer Stewart, Board Chair for Federated Health Charities, champions 21 vital charities inspired by her own health journey. She is Assistant Deputy Minister of Regional & Corporate Services and Chief Administrative Officer for the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Gaming. A results-driven, people-first leader, Jennifer excels at building strong teams and trusted relationships. Based in Toronto, she loves live music, travel, cheering for the Blue Jays, and life with her rescue dogs, Mimi and Lancelot.

Carolyn Calwell is the Chief Executive Officer of the Ontario Energy Board (OEB). She has served in senior leadership roles in law and policy at the OEB and at Ontario’s Ministry of Energy. Carolyn is active in the energy sector at large within Ontario, Canada and internationally. In addition to sitting on the board of Federated Health Charities, Carolyn serves as a director of Her Sports, an organization dedicated to creating spaces to celebrate women and girls in sport.

Danielle joined the Ontario Public Service in 2014 and was inspired by the generosity of colleagues to participate in the Federated Health Charities Campaign. Her involvement grew each year, leading her to serve as a branch lead in 2018, take on Ministry executive roles in 2020 and 2023, and join the Federated Health Advisory Committee in 2021. Committed to expanding the campaign’s impact, Danielle became a member of the Federated Health Charities Board in 2024 and now co-leads the OPS Advisory Committee.

Katie is an advancement and fundraising professional with expertise in donor engagement, major giving, and strategic campaigns in higher education and nonprofits. Passionate about building philanthropic partnerships and community wellbeing, she joined the Federated Health Charities Board in 2024, inspired by its collaborative model and commitment to vital health organizations. Katie proudly contributes to advancing health, equity, and improving lives across Ontario.

Jo-Anne has devoted her career to advancing health and wellness for Ontarians through leadership in the not-for-profit sector, addressing conditions from arthritis to spinal cord injury. She collaborated with healthcare professionals, researchers, and donors as an advocate and change agent. In retirement, Jo-Anne serves on the Ontario Medical Foundation Board and recently joined the Ontario Federated Health Charities Board. Based in mid-town Toronto, she enjoys global geopolitics with her family and two dogs. 

Sarah Wood has led Federated Health Charities as Executive Director for over a decade with dedication and vision. A Registered Social Worker, her career began in health-focused non-profits, including charities Federated Health supports today. This background gives her deep insight into the vital role of donor dollars and their life-changing impact. Her passion and commitment continue to drive the campaign’s success year after year.
