Throughout my career in the Ontario Public Service, I’ve seen firsthand how deeply health affects every part of our lives – our families, our work, and our communities. No matter our role or background, health is something that connects us all. That belief is why I strongly support Federated Health.

Federated Health represents the best of collective action in public service. It brings people together to support health charities that deliver real impact across prevention, education, research, care, and recovery. What makes Federated Health especially meaningful to me is how it turns everyday generosity into sustained, province-wide support. Through workplace giving, even small contributions add up to powerful outcomes that no individual effort could achieve alone.
In my professional life, I’ve worked closely with colleagues across ministries and agencies, and I’ve seen how health challenges – physical, mental, and emotional – quietly shape people’s lives. I’ve also seen the critical role health charities play in filling gaps, supporting families, and strengthening communities alongside the broader health system. Federated Health enables public servants to support that work in a simple, trusted, and impactful way.

My support for Federated Health is also shaped by my long-standing commitment to community engagement and service. Over the years, I’ve been involved in volunteer leadership and fundraising initiatives that supported health causes, including efforts that benefited local hospitals and community health programs. Those experiences reinforced my belief that leadership is not only about professional responsibility, but also about compassion, stewardship, and giving back.
Being part of the Federated Health Advisory Council allows me to contribute to this important work beyond donating, but at its core, my involvement is driven by a belief in the mission itself. Federated Health reminds us that behind every policy, program, and workplace are people – colleagues, families, and neighbours – who benefit when we invest in health.
I’m proud to support Federated Health and the 21 charities it represents. Together, through collective effort and shared purpose, we can continue building healthier communities across Ontario.
