Your Impact, Our Gratitude: Diabetes Canada Celebrates Federated Health Donors

Diabetes Canada supported by Federated Health Charities donors

Diabetes Canada couldn’t do what we do without you – our Federated Health Charities donors. Every program, every piece of research, every bit of advocacy – it all starts with your generosity.

Diabetes Canada in fact relies almost exclusively on donor dollars,” says Laura Syron, President and CEO. “So everything we do here is because of generous donors like those Federated Health brings to us. Honestly, we could not do the work – and I’m not exaggerating – we couldn’t do the work without donors.”

And what does that work look like? Laura breaks it down:

Education for patients so they can manage diabetes day-to-day.

Training for health care providers – doctors, pharmacists, nurses – so care is consistent and informed.

Advocacy at every level of government to improve access and affordability.

Research both basic and clinical – to prevent, treat, and one day cure diabetes.

Changing perceptions to fight stigma and remind people that diabetes is not something anyone “brings on themselves.”

We launched a new initiative to get people thinking differently about diabetes,” Laura adds. “And that’s only possible because of donor support.”

Your gift through Federated Health Charities fuels all of this. It means better care, better understanding, and hope for millions of Canadians living with diabetes. Your impact is real. If you’ve given, thank you for making a difference. If you haven’t yet, please consider joining us in the next Federated Health Charities campaign. Together, we can change lives—and change the future of diabetes.
